Battle of FALKIRK 1746

The Battle was fought in adverse weather conditions, and event card draws worked the effects. Summary: The Scot Jacobites advanced in two lines which became more apart as the turns proceeded. The first Jacobite line consisted of Gentleman Horse companies and Highland Irregulars with front lines of elite / fierce swordmen. They met the Hanovarian Government Battalions head on.

The Hanovarians were superior soldiers to the Government forces previously encountered at for example, Prestonpans. The Government force remained well disciplined and constantly adjusted to maintain a line formation albeit somewhat dented - not really breached.

The First jacobite line was exhausted in strength before it could be reinforced by the second line, so the Government battalions contained the Jacobite attack.
